The new cookbook from the team behind Osteria 16 offers 80 fresh, simple recipes made with a few carefully selected ingredients and prepared with care. Inspired by Italian cuisine, the recipes range from antipasti, pasta, and risotto to plenty of polenta, vegetable dishes, and desserts.
The dishes are designed for relaxed, family-style serving, just like at Osteria 16—the popular antipasti restaurants founded by childhood friends Morten Kaltoft and Emil Alsbo.
Morten Kaltoft, who previously worked at the Michelin-starred restaurant Era Ora, brings his solid experience to the recipes, making the dishes both easy to prepare and beloved by restaurant guests.
In 2014, Osteria 16 opened its doors in Vesterbro, Copenhagen. The restaurant was founded by friends, chef Morten Kaltoft and artist Emil Alsbo. Here, it’s not about snobbish waiters or perfectly folded napkins but about honest Italian food served family-style, where the entire table shares the dishes. Osteria 16 represents the modern Italian kitchen—relaxed, inclusive, and for everyone.
