JICON Porcelain is a modern porcelain brand, originally crafted by Touetsugama kiln in collaboration with designer OJI Masanori. Specializing in white porcelain techniques utilizing Amakusa Touseki, JICON's name evokes the Buddhist phrase "seize the day" as well as their ties to the Imamura house of Touetsugama kiln, founded 350 years ago. OJI Masanori has designed chrysanthemum-shaped porcelain plates inspired by the traditional ARITA techniques, perfected to fit contemporary life.
