Artek's Stool 60, designed by Alvar Aalto, is renowned for its Finnish furniture design. This timeless masterpiece is easy to stack and store when not in use, yet it can also be used as a small table beside a chair or in the bedroom. First unveiled in 1933, its revolutionary L-leg structure was a breakthrough for modern Scandinavian design. To craft the curved leg, a straight piece of solid birch is sawed and thin sheets of plywood are glued into the grooves. This method creates a strong, heated texture that can be easily attached to the seat.
